A Happy Concept
I'm know I'm a total bore when it comes to my 'everyone should create a little bit of public happiness' rants but I have to rant just one more time about something relating to this topic.
Did anyone see the moon tonight? It was absolutely exquisite... and in Cape Town it draws out a particular breed of bikers for the Late Night Full Moon mass ride. We ran into the lunar riders tonight while driving back from my boyfriend's...actually we could hear their laughs before we even saw them, with balloons on their bikes and some of them dresses funny... and even though I was being a fatty eating Myog in the car (and reviewing the fact that I need to start exercising), it made me so happy! It's such a simple joy concept ... riding into the late hours of the night with friends (and nevertheless strangers) when you would otherwise be at home pursuing your downtime routine or socialising in your trusted social circle. But instead, different types of Capetonians unite to do something out of the ordinary yet also so simple and primal (plus the wheels), and so happiness-provoking! I absolutely LOVE IT and think that whenever things such as these come up, we should all spontaneously step out of our comfort zone and live a little in that moment.
