I wouldn't call myself religious, nonetheless I don't like to push away the idea that there is a higher power because there is absolutely no proof that there isn't.
So, I was thinking about career paths and the "turning your hobby into your career" debate and then it dawned on me- let's say there is a higher power, and he/she/it created each and every one of us just the way we are. Wouldn't he/she/it would then have had the desire for each individual to spend their lives cultivating THEIR talents?
I mean, there are so many people living in our world, side by side.. what if this supposed higher power planned each individual's talents and strengths so that there would be a perfect balance? What if all the people who are great at art are supposed to be painters and all those who give people shivers with their voices, singers? Or what about the ones who can emotionally read you, understand and communicate with people, psychologists? What if this is what was supposed to happen and we got it all wrong- some of us do not do what we love and are good at so we do what we think we are supposed to. And maybe this isn't how it was meant to be.. Maybe we should listen to our talents and embrace them.
